A day trip from Copenhagen, Denmark to Helsingborg, Sweden.

All images taken with a Fujifilm X-T5 and 18-55 f2.8 lens (along with Fuji film simulations).

Getting to Helsingborg from Copenhagen is easy. You can take a train from Copenhagen that travels through Sweden up to Helsingborg.

In addition, you can take a train that travels north from Copenhagen to Helsingor, followed by a ferry to Helsingborg.

We opted for the train to ferry experience.

Docking at Helsingborg

Docking at Helsingborg offers great scenery and you can see much of the city’s port and Old Town area right from the ferry. Since you’re already in the EU, there is no need to pass through any type of customs area; you simply walk off the ship into Sweden.

Old Town

The Old Town area of Helsingborg provides you with a nice glimpse of what life was like 600 years ago.

The Harbor

The harbor and surrounding areas also add on to the day trip experience.

The Way Back

Similar to the morning, you can opt to stick to a train ride only or take the ferry back as well. We decided to redo the ferry ride and get a chance to see the Denmark side from the sea. Sights include a view of Kronborg Castle, the setting of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
